John was born July 22, 1936 in Union Co. Indiana. He was the son of Haskel (Hack) & Evelyn Sprinkle Schlensker. John has a sister - Mary "Dink" Schlensker King. John loved tinkering with things and that knowledge proved very helpful throughout his lifetime. He met Nancy Kemp at their high school graduation in 1954. They married on June 3, 1955. On September 10, 1957 they had their first child Kelli Jo On November 25, 1961 their 2nd daughter Melissa Lynn was born. On September 10, 1966 (same day as Kelli) Kristi Ann was born. All 3 daughters married Kelli - David, Melissa - Tim, Krisit - Greg and gave him 5 grand children. Timothy, Tabitha, Emily, Zachary and Dane. And those grandchildren provided him with Great Grandchildren Jakob, Isaak, Ryder, Johnny and Everly. In August, 2012, John was diagnosed with Cancer. He fought hard but the Cancer won the battle. John went to Heaven December 12, 2011. John and Nancy were married 56 1/2 years.
